God, out of His great mercy and grace awoke my heart at the age of 15. I was invited by a school friend to attend a revival at his home church. I gladly attended thinking it would be a good time to socialize with other friends and have fun. Each night the speaker’s words began to bring questions to my mind about sin, hell and a Savior. Each night I became convicted by his words and by the grace of God, I came to understand that I was lost and in need of a Savior. As a 15 year old, I of course resisted the altar call each night until the very last night….the conviction became so powerful that I knew that there was only one thing I could do….turn to my Savior Jesus Christ. By the grace of God….the Holy Spirit ministered to my heart that week, He awoke my heart and brought salvation to this undeserving soul.
As with many teenagers, I slowly drifted to worldly pursuits, sports, cars and college. I put worldly idols in the place in which God should be. Several years passed by, many personal heartaches and tragedies came my way, each time I tried to fix them my way, but with those heartaches and tragedies came conviction. I knew I was not in a right standing with God, each day the conviction grew until such a time that it was seemingly unbearable. God had gotten my attention once again and by His Mercy and His Grace, I understood the path I needed to take that would restore our relationship.
On December 31, 2006, my life, my relationship was once again made whole, by His Grace and By His Mercy.
